Working Principle
The SHI Series Paddle Type Flow Switch uses the flow of water to drive the blade and detect whether liquid is flowing inside the pipeline. When there is no liquid flow in the pipe, the spring pushes the magnetic plate to make the blade remain vertical. At this time, the magnetic reed switch does not act, and the contact is in the normally open position.
When liquid flows through the pipeline and the flow rate is sufficient to push the blade up by about 20 to 30 degrees, the eccentric transmission plate above the blade pushes the magnet upward. The magnetic attraction then causes the magnetic reed switch to act, and the contact changes to the closed position. Due to different pipe diameters, the blade length should also be adjusted accordingly.
