Working Principle
The SHZ Series Vortex Street Flow Gauge works on the Karman vortex principle. When a triangular bluff body is installed in the flowing medium, regular vortices are generated alternately on both sides of the vortex generator. These vortices are arranged symmetrically downstream and form a vortex street. The frequency of vortex shedding is proportional to the average flow velocity, so the instrument measures flow rate by detecting the vortex frequency. When the medium passes through the pipeline, the alternating vortices formed behind the shedder bar are converted into corresponding signals for flow monitoring and control.
