The SLC Advanced Rotary Paddle Level Switch is developed for reliable level detection in powders, granules, pellets, and bulk solid storage systems. It is commonly installed in silos, hoppers, bins, and material tanks to monitor high-level and low-level positions and improve production automation efficiency.
Compared with traditional rotary paddle switches, this advanced model features a more compact insertion design with a 100mm probe depth, making it ideal for smaller storage tanks or equipment with limited installation space. The 24VDC power supply allows easier integration with PLC systems, automated control panels, and modern industrial monitoring equipment.
Its aluminum housing provides excellent mechanical strength, while the 304 stainless steel paddle blade ensures long-term resistance to corrosion and wear. The product is suitable for continuous operation in dusty environments where stable material detection is required.
The SLC model helps reduce overflow risks, prevents material shortages, and improves overall production safety in automated bulk material handling systems.
Working Principle
The internal motor drives the paddle blade to rotate continuously at 1 RPM when no material reaches the blade.
When powder, pellets, or granular materials contact the paddle, the blade stops rotating due to material resistance.
The internal mechanism immediately sends a switching signal to activate alarms, stop conveyors, or control feeding equipment.
Once the material level drops below the detection point, the paddle automatically resumes rotation and returns to normal operation.
This simple mechanical principle ensures long-term reliability with minimal maintenance.
