Product Description

The SLO Rotary Paddle Level Switch is a reliable solution for point level detection in powders, granules, pellets, and other bulk solid materials. It is widely used in silos, storage bins, hoppers, and tanks to monitor material levels and help prevent overflow, empty-bin conditions, and unnecessary production downtime.

This model uses a motor-driven rotary paddle detection principle. Under normal conditions, the paddle rotates continuously at a low speed when no material is present. When the stored material reaches the paddle position, the resistance stops the blade rotation and activates the internal switching mechanism, sending a signal for alarms, feeding control, or conveyor shutdown. Once the material level drops, the paddle automatically resumes rotation and resets the system.

Built with a compact aluminum housing and 304 stainless steel contact components, the SLO model offers strong durability in dusty and demanding industrial environments. The integrated LED indicator lights allow operators to quickly monitor working status, while the threaded installation design ensures fast and convenient mounting on various storage systems.

Working Principle

  • The internal motor drives the paddle blade to rotate at a stable speed of 1 RPM.

  • When no material reaches the paddle, the blade continues rotating normally.

  • When powder, granules, or bulk solids cover the blade, the material resistance stops the paddle rotation.

  • The internal mechanism then outputs a switching signal to trigger alarms or control equipment.

  • After the material level decreases, the paddle rotates again and returns to normal operation automatically.
